It gathers students from several universities (Europe, Americas, Africa and Asia), who work together in Lisbon for the following objectives:
  • Generate a methodology to contribute for sustainable development of waterfront cities.
  • Allow cities authorities to exchange management visions and common practices that succeed to re-establish their relation with water, improving environmental conditions while supporting local activities.
  • Discuss the influence of geographic and historical factors on the present situation of the waterfront and the city, and produce cartographic records of the transformation of the waterfront.
  • Understand that former industrial waterfronts are potential sites of continuity for urban morphology.
  • Compare cultural, environmental and historical heritage solutions.
